A Night to Remember

In a quiet room, I waited alone for someone to deliver the news I almost undoubtedly knew to be true.

The door opened, she walked in and told me I was pregnant.

She sat down next to me and quickly began telling me all about my developing baby.

Things were moving too fast, and I couldn’t process everything she was saying, but I knew her hope was for my baby.

I needed her hope to be for me.

Guests in the banquet room at the Downtwon Market in Grand Rapids

On Wednesday, October 4, nearly 200 people sat quietly in the banquet room of the Downtown Market as our Executive Director, Lisa E. Anderson, spoke these words.

Grace’s Table Walks Alongside Teen Mamas

Born out of her own struggles as a teen mama, Grace’s Table has been a refuge for teen mamas and their families for the last 9 years.

At Grace’s Table, we come alongside teen mamas and walk with them. We go the distance as they find their feet in their parenting journey. We do this through community and individualized support.

A Magical Evening

A guest at Growing in Grace: A Greenhouse Gala reads the story of a teen mama whose life has been impacted by Grace's Table.

We were thrilled to have guests join us for an incredible evening filled with inspiring artwork and heartwarming stories of transformation and growth.

The breathtaking greenhouse provided the perfect setting to showcase the amazing creations of the families we serve.

An Auction For A Cause

In addition, the event featured generous donations from local artists for both silent and live auctions, with all proceeds contributing to the support of our teen mamas and families at Grace's Table.

A buzz of excitement filled the room as the auctioneer stepped onto the stage. Guests were on the edge of their seats, not only for the chance to take home a one-of-a-kind piece of art but also to contribute generously and become advocates for teen mamas. The banquet hall resounded with laughter and applause as bids poured in. The audience, once strangers, was now united as one community with a single purpose - to ensure that teen mamas are not isolated and receive the support they need.

The Impact Of Community

We set a goal of raising $100,000 at Growing in Grace: A Greenhouse Gala this year. Our Grace's Table Family has contributed just over $90,000 toward that goal.

We are so grateful to everyone who supported teen mamas through this event. But the impact of an event like this isn't defined by what happens in the room. The true impact resides in the people who hear the message and take the next steps to become champions of teen mamas.

We can't wait to see what your continued partnership will bring about, in West Michigan and beyond.
