About the Project

We've invited Hope College to launch a research project that explores how young moms define and experience stability. We want to understand what brought you to Grace's Table, why you stay connected, and how GT has contributed to what you need to thrive. Your story matters and what you share will help shape future programs and support for other moms like you.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Join a 2- hour small, supportive focus group with 4-5 other GT moms.

  • Create a visual "Roads to Support" map using art supplies (no art skills needed!).

  • Reflect on your life before Grace's Table, your experiences here, and where you're headed.

  • Share your experiences with things like housing, childcare, and feeling safe.

  • ·Connect with other moms and shape how future support is designed.

ABOUT THE RESEARCHER

I know that not all researchers or social workers have earned trust, and I know right now I am just a stranger. I am committed to creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. I promise to hold your stories with the utmost care, and I welcome any questions you may have about me or the project. I look forward to getting to know you and learning from your experiences and expertise!

Hi, I'm Jenny! I am a social work professor and a mom to my 7-year-old son, Jay.
My work is dedicated to understanding what families need to stay together and thrive. I've known Lisa for over 10 years and partnered with Grace's Table to make sure this project is done with care, respect, and your voice at the center.
